Details About The Event
A Day In The Arts is this years edition of the annual ROX in the park event held at Hotham Park. This year, due to the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, this event will be online. It will include performances from dance acts, singers and comedians. There will be interviews, interactive workshops, arts and craft sessions from local businesses and many activities for the whole family. The main purpose of the event is to raise awareness and funds for the ROX music and arts charity and all the hard work they do for this industry. Our aim is to attract an audience of all ages. We are looking to promote the profile and brand of ROX and highlighting the opportunities they offer too upcoming artists and the support they offer these artists in helping them develop their skills for this industry. The virtual event will last 2 hours and will be available for free on YouTube for anyone with access to wi-fi.
About ROX music and arts organisation
The Background
ROX music and arts organisation is a fully registered charity based in Bognor Regis, managed by a board of unpaid Trustee Directors and volunteers. ROX has been running since 1990 and has since earned a strong reputation for promoting and presenting freely accesible, quality event on a non-profit basis. Their aims and objectives are “to advance the education, awareness, and appreciation of the arts and allied creatives and to provide a platform for artistes of all ages and skill levels to perform and exhibit. It’s also part of our mandate to provide FREE entry events wherever we can, the Trustees believe firmly in giving back to the community that has supported us for many, many years through adversity and through triumph.” (Rox Organisation, 2020).
Music and Art has bought people together for many years and now more than ever people are using it as a form of escapism and as a distraction in Lockdown. From children making posters for the NHS to spread positivity, to people singing and dancing on their balconies. No human culture exists without it, especially now where social bonding is higher than ever, music can be used to unite people. The ROX Music and Arts charity has changed the life’s for hundreds of inspiring artists which is why your donations are so important, with the help from your funds ROX are able to change the life’s of many more artists and carry on providing a platform for anyone in this industry.
